Hi Em0g, Most of my maps are made with DundJinni software using objects and textures from the DundJinni User Forums. So if the maps you are seeing look a lot like this then they probably used the same software and art. If the walls and floors are different, but the objects are the same, then the map was probably made in Photoshop, GIMP, CC3, or Fractal Mapper, using the art that came from the DJ Forums. Currently there are about 70,000 objects and textures on the Forums including a couple thousand I made.
There are as many different "styles" as there are artists / cartographers, but the DJ users all kind of learned from each other and many of us have similar styles. If you are looking for different styles, there are a lot of great maps here on DeviantArt, and many more on the Cartographer's Guild.
Thanks, that was a great help. A couple of thousand objects/textures? You're very busy. Will definitely check Dinjinni out as I really like the style of the gothic-esque textures. Had a few ideas for level/map design, just lacked the graphic proficiency to include the concept textures. Ty
You're welcome. Dundjinni is a great program, but it is getting old and has some issues. If you are considering buying it, be sure to read about those issues on the Forums. If you have specific questions you can send me a private note here on DA.
