Old Port ( version 2 ) by Bogie-DJ Old Port ( version 2 ) by Bogie-DJ
I received a request to tone down the brightness of the water texture on my Old Port Waterfront map. At first I thought it would be difficult, as this is all on one layer so I can't just work on the water by itself. But, by using the Color range select tool I was able to change the water faster than I thought possible and it came out good. I think I like the darker water better myself. Thanks for the constructive criticism Mistikfantasy. Hope you like this version.

I further modified the sea to make it look more blended to the rest of the map =)

I also made a mask to select only the sea due to edit it without problems. =)
If you prefer I can upload it so you can download and eventually modify the sea.

Thanks, but this map was made for a contest that finished back in May.  I do like these changes but I am happy with the current version and don't need to tweak it further.

Version 2 looks far better! =) now water brightness seems more balanced. New new boat added! May I ask your resources for boats?

Thanks.  Most of these boats are posted at DundJinni Forums, but they come from a lot of sources.  The largest boat is one I made using DundJinni.  The new boat and a lot of the rowboats and the canoe were created from photos I took of boat models, mostly found in gift stores.  The Viking longship and the medium size sailboat were posted by other artists on DundJinni.  A rather mixed assortment, but if you have ever looked at a marina, or working waterfront, the variety of boats is endless.
